Artist Background
Wendy Coombes is a Sydney based art photographer, originally from the Netherlands, where she grew up near the famous tulip fields. A florist by training, all the floral still life arrangements are styled by her with only locally grown flowers.
When not in the studio, she enjoys time outdoors capturing intimate coastal and landscape details. Wendy’s wilderness series explore themes of the adventure and possibility alongside life's natural transitions and what it means to feel safe, at rest, and at home.
The common thread through is an invitation to the viewer to pause, reflect, and appreciate natures healing power.
