Exposure Therapy

For many years now I've shared my photography via social media. Posting, scrolling, keeping up the pace, trying to second-guess the algorithm.

It feels like feeding an ungrateful beast. No matter how much you give it, it is never enough.

I confess it has become a weird pressure to perform rather than simply share what I see, and it has stopped feeling right.

So I'm stepping away from social media, or at least stepping back. Instead, I'll be here, creating this visual blog as an experiment in slowing down.

This space is called Exposure Therapy for a few reasons. There's the obvious photographic reference where exposure is the fundamental act of letting light onto film or sensor. But there's also a more vulnerable meaning: the practice of sharing my work and words, and of being seen.

It feels therapeutic to be creating a space that moves at a different rhythm, one that allows for stillness and attention.

What to expect

I'll be posting when I have something worth sharing.

There will be images alongside short notes about what I'm working on, what caught my eye or made me pause. Think of them as micro-stories that give context to the photographs.

Notes may be technical, sometimes personal, but always connected to the practice of seeing slowly.

I want this space to be for photography as observation rather than performance. For images that might need a moment to breathe. The quiet practice of paying attention, if you like.

If you'd like to follow along, you can subscribe for updates (see below), or simply check back when the mood strikes.

No algorithms here, no pressure to engage. Just an invitation to look, and to slow down with me.

Thanks for being here.
